WHO WE ARE

Donors can be NGOs, bilateral and multilateral agencies, national and international organizations and companies, as well as individuals willing to contribute to the preservation of Amazonian biodiversity.

This is the forum for deliberation focused on EAF's strategic decision-making, which establishes the guidelines and priorities for the use of the fund's resources. Chaired by the Governor of the State of Pará, with the vice-presidency of the representative of the State Secretariat for the Environment and Sustainability (SEMAS/PA), it has a hybrid composition, with public and private representatives from the following institutions: SEMAS/PA; State Administration and Planning Department (SEPLAD); Institute for Forestry Development and Biodiversity of the State of Pará (IDEFLOR-Bio); Land Institute of Pará (ITERPA); State Secretariat for Economic Development, Mining and Energy (SEDEME); civil society organizations, whose purpose and conduct are demonstrably of relevant social and environmental contribution in Pará; Pará Forum on Climate Change and Adaptation (FPMAC/PA).

Since October 2021 the Brazilian Fund for Biodiversity (FUNBIO), Civil Society Organization of Public Interest (OSCIP), was selected through the Public Call for Proposals DPC/SEMAS no. 001, of March 10th, 2021, for the continuous and permanent activity of EAF's Operational and Financial Management, with a view to operating a private collaboration strategy for financing public policies on the environment and sustainable development of the State of Pará.
